Venue Location

Perhaps few issues are as confusing in the built environment today as Special Inspections. While they have been a part of most projects for the last 10 years, there is still much misunderstanding of these enhanced inspection requirements that have been broadly adopted throughout the U.S., particularly when cost to the project is discussed with project owners. Join us for this session as an informative overview of Special Inspections is presented, including their origin from a tragic event in Kansas City, what the code requires, and most importantly, how it impacts your project.

Specific items covered will include: the necessity for special inspections; history; inspections required by current versions of the code; participants in the process; exemptions; standard construction materials testing vs. special inspections; frequency; and required reports.
