February 2014 CMAA Gulf Coast Chapter Spotlight - Lisa Cookmeyer

Lisa Cookmeyer was the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), Gulf Coast Chapter’s (GCC) first female President.  Being first is nothing new to Lisa who,  as President of Trigon Associates,  led her company to grow not only in American markets but internationally as well.  Under Lisa’s leadership, the CMAA GCC expanded to include meetings in Baton Rouge and membership outreach into Mississippi and Alabama.  Lisa’s ability to coordinate work on multiple projects simultaneously was a tremendous benefit to the GCC as each Chapter Committee has several initiatives that equally require leadership’s keen eye and intuitive guidance.  Lisa was a Chapter President who not only moved the GCC forward, but also set in motion opportunities for Chapter growth well into the future.  Lisa’s leadership and success as the Gulf Coast Chapter President earned her an invitation from CMAA National to join the Regional Chapter Committee which helps promote the growth of new and existing regional chapters and helps facilitate chapter to chapter communications and idea exchange. CMAA has benefited greatly from Lisa's leadership and dedication, and those who know and work with her are better for the association, the friendship, and the experience.
