Join us for a presentation that will bring you up to date on the recent developments in Louisiana Construction Law, including statutory and legislative changes, recent decisions, but also provide insight on what impacts these changes may have.

FEATURED SPEAKER

Michael Blackwell is a partner with Riess LeMieux, L.L.C. in New Orleans. His practice focuses on all aspects of the construction industry, from construction contracts, suretyship, labor and employment, sales and acquisitions, to complex construction and commercial litigation. His bar admissions include all Louisiana State courts, all Texas state courts the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Mr. Blackwell has seminars ranging from construction defects, claims, the Fair Labor Standards Acts, ethics for engineers, and other various topics impacting the construction industry. Since 2017, Mr. Blackwell has been the chairman of the Construction Law committee for the New Orleans Bar Association and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the area of Construction Litigation.
