PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Learn the rules of depositions and best practices on conducting yourself and testifying. You will hear “war stories” as well as examples of what can ruin the case for your company during a deposition.

Christopher K. LeMieux | Founding Partner

Christopher K. LeMieux is a founding partner of Riess LeMieux. Prior to starting the firm, Chris served as general counsel and an executive committee member for a regional design builder. During his seventeen-year career, Chris has represented every possible party in a construction case during litigations, arbitrations, claims, disputes and negotiations. He has drafted construction contracts for numerous projects and has represented employers in a wide variety of employment matters. Chris regularly lectures on construction and employment law.

 

Michael D. Lane | Partner

Mike Lane is a partner at Riess LeMieux who focuses on construction law. His depth of experience in construction, insurance, and commercial disputes allows him to advise and represent clients on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial litigation, tort and casualty, product liability, and employment law. In the construction arena, he advises clients long before a project begins until well after the work is complete. If a dispute arises, he is experienced with litigation, mediation, and arbitration, including trials in state and federal court and arbitration proceedings with the American Arbitration Association. With his understanding of the complexities of construction, insurance, and commercial issues, he strives to provide practical advice and top-notch legal representation to his clients.

 

Jonathan S. Forester | Partner

Jonathan S. Forester is a partner with Riess LeMieux. Mr. Forester represents contractors, owners, insurers, self-insureds and subcontractors in complex property damage and injury claims. He additionally advises construction-related entities and other businesses through contract negotiation and drafting and recovery of funds owed via LPWA and the Miller Act. He has served on the Federal Bar Association’s Younger Lawyers Division Board of Directors since 2016, and has been selected for five years (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019) as a “Rising Star” in the field of Construction Litigation by Super Lawyers publication and was a finalist for the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel’s 2017 Maraist Award.
