Join us for a presentation on conflicts of interest and ethics in the construction industry. This program looks into business ethical conflicts of interest which may arise for different players and participants in the construction world, and examines what type of behavior is ethical, and at what point might one ethically "cross the line" in responsibilities toward others involved in a construction project.

The presentation will touch upon many areas, including:

• Objectivity: Identifying potential conflicts of interest and disclosing those to the party who would be adversely affected by it

• Honesty: Acting honestly and avoiding conduct likely to result, directly or indirectly, in the deception of others

• Fairness: Refraining from seeking obtain a benefit which arises directly or indirectly from the unfair treatment of others

• Fair reward: Avoiding acts likely to deprive another party of a fair reward for work

• Integrity: Regard for the public interest

• Accountability: Provide appropriate information so effective action can be taken where necessary

The information from this program will help you assess in advance your proposed construction industry engagements and activities, in order to avoid conflict areas and ethical dilemmas, and in the process provide the best and most efficient service to your clients.
